Working Together

A popular motivational speaker that I follow on social media just announced that she was getting a divorce. She was moving out of her house after being “cooped up together” because of quarantine. It made me think about how many married couples that don’t normall see eachother much are now seeing a lot of one another. From a quick Google search I found that divorce rates are skyrocketing which makes me so sad.

I am so lucky, being a ranch wife means that I get to spend all day working with my best friend/ husband. Sure we sometimes disagree or I get my feelings hurt when I mess up and he points it out but overall we make a great team. Isn’t that what marriage is working together in everything. Going through the good and the bad together and all the while getting stronger.

When we got married a lot of people told me that they couldn’t imagine spending all day working with their spouse or spending that much time with them but honestly I can’t imagine not. Shouldn’t your spouse be your best friend?

Sure it’s not easy working together all of the time expecially in such a demanding and stressful job but I wouldn’t pick anyone else to do it with and I feel blessed that I get to spend so much time with my hubby.

I’m not saying that you have to work with your spouse all day everyday but if you don’t want to spend most of your time with your spouse instead of other people then maybe you shouldn’t be married to that person.

I’m blessed I get to live a life I love working hard next to my best friend! Being a ranch wife isn’t always easy but it sure does have some perks!
